  Carol recently received the MNYADE "Diabetes Educators Advocate of the Year" award. The ceremony was held on Long Island on May 18, 2010.

   For Veterans:    The Department of Veteran Affairs has approved reimbursement for the Certification Examination for Diabetes Educators. Veterans and other qualified individuals can now request reimbursement for the cost of the exam by using their GI education benefits. For more information, visit the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators.
